Homeroom Teacher

 Job Description:
ISI is looking for a qualified teacher for the Primary Homeroom teacher position.
Depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate, any class from age 6
(Grade 1) to age 10 (Grade 4) may be offered.
     Curriculum:
  • Create a curriculum with lessons, units, themes, and work that provides student growth and development
  • Work with the rest of the school team to create transdisciplinary units and occupations that connect to a variety of subjects
  • Deliver meaningful lessons and guide experiences that develop student skills and engagement
  • Provide appropriate and timely feedback on student work
  • Organize day trips connected to the curriculum that get students out into the community

Requirements and skills:

  • Can start to work on August 2022
  • The candidate must be in Russia with a valid work visa
  • Speaks English at an idiomatic level
  • Education or other related majors
  • Teaching Credential/License
  • Dedicated to student learning
  • Tech-savvy and willing to try out new technologies to enhance student’s learning

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, marking, report writing, and all other administration related to the teaching of the subject(s)
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, in-service training activities, and invigilation duties as required by the administrators
  • Work closely with the head teacher and other colleagues to develop curriculum as needed
  • Be available to conference with students out of class
  • Promptly pass information to advisors and head teachers when student’s attendance, academic performance, or behavior is praiseworthy or giving cause for concern
  • To be available for work on campus in good time to complete all necessary preparations and meetings before the start of the term
  • To respect the confidential nature of discussions at staff meetings and other contexts in which sensitive information is likely to be communicated – particularly in terms of interaction with students
  • Support school life by chaperoning activities, clubs, field trips, camp, and being an advisor to a group of students
  • Fulfill other duties as required by the administrators

ESL Teacher

Job Description:

  • The candidate must be in Russia with a valid work visa
  • Knowledge of various methods of teaching English to non-native speakers
  • Great organizational and communication skills
  • A calm and resilient personality
  • Ability to handle classroom crises
  • ESL or TESOL certification
  • Degree in English Language, English Literature or similar field

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and love for young children and enthusiasm for developing a happy, creative atmosphere for the children
  • Plan, develop, conduct and monitor courses for presentation to students according to approved curriculum keeping in view the individual learning needs of the children
  • Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness
  • Prepare, administer, and correct assessments
  • Prepare and implement ESL programs for students requiring extra help
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips
  • Assign and correct homework
  • Evaluate the progress of students and discuss progress results with students, parents and the school management team.
  • Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips, and special activities
  • Establishing and maintaining a warm supportive relationship with the families of the children
  • Develop course materials and curriculum content
  • Keeping accurate and current, the records as required by the School
  • Attending weekly meetings and professional development and Parent-Teacher meetings as requested
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Being responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating environment for children in the assigned classroom and for the School
  • Establish and maintain a warm supportive relationship with families of the children
  • Perform other tasks requested
